Clay Seigle

Senior Fellow

Clay Seigle is the James R. Schlesinger Chair in Energy & Geopolitics at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where they lead research on energy security, focusing on oil and gas. With extensive experience in the energy industry, Clay has held positions such as Managing Director at Vortexa and Director of Global Oil Service at Rapidan Energy Group. Previously, they served as Senior Manager at IHS and were the Energy Segment Leader at Maxar Technologies, where they managed geospatial solutions for the oil and gas sector. Clay is also a Board member of the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations and has been involved with the US Association for Energy Economics as Vice President. They hold a MA in International Relations & Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
