M. Miles Yu

M. Miles Yu is a Professor at the United States Naval Academy since August 1994 and serves as a Senior Fellow and director of the China Center at the Hudson Institute, a position held since February 2021. From February 2019 to February 2021, M. Miles Yu worked at the U.S. Department of State as the principal China Policy and Planning Advisor to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. M. Miles Yu holds a Ph.D. in History with a focus on Military/Diplomatic history, Modern China, and East Asia from the University of California, Berkeley, and is an alum of Swarthmore College.
