Katherine Bliss

Senior Fellow and Director, Immunizations and Health Systems Resilience

Katherine Bliss is an experienced writer, speaker, and policy analyst with a focus on global health and development, international relations, and Latin America. They have a background in academia, having served as both an Assistant and Associate Professor of Latin American History at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and currently teach as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's Center for Latin American Studies. Katherine's notable past roles include working as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State and holding several senior positions at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where they directed programs related to global health and policy. Trained as a historian, Katherine has published extensively on gender relations and public health in early 20th century Mexico and has engaged with global health issues through a variety of international experiences.
