Akemi Tahara

Akemi Tahara currently serves as the Japan Head of HR Business Partnering (Agile) for CSL, a position held since October 2025. Previously, Akemi held various senior roles including Director of Talent Management at IFFCO from April 2014 to October 2025, and Director at Knight Capital Ltd from January 2009 to March 2014. Additional experience includes leading the Japan Desk for Executive Development at the Human Capital Leadership Institute, serving as Senior Manager of HR, GA & PR at H.J. Heinz Japan, and HR Manager at the Australian Embassy. Early career stages included a consultant role at The Recruitment Company and Associate HR Manager at Issey Miyake Inc. Akemi holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management from TAFE NSW and a BA in Social Welfare from Shukutoku University.
