Liang Shang

Liang (Leon) Shang is an experienced professional in analytical development with a focus on mRNA vaccines and CAR-T cell therapies. Currently serving as Associate Director in mRNA Vaccine Analytical Development at CSL, Liang (Leon) has previously held key positions at Allogene Therapeutics as Principal Scientist and at Merck as Senior Scientist, leading significant projects from vaccine development to analytical strategies. Liang (Leon) has a strong foundation in scientific research from roles at the University of Minnesota and Emory University, complemented by a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Virology, and Microbiology from Emory University and a Master's degree from Fudan University. Expertise includes driving analytical leadership in vaccine development, developing novel assays, and managing cross-functional teams, alongside a track record of innovation and mentoring in fast-paced environments.
