Melissa Smullen

Melissa Smullen has over two decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Associate Director of EP CMC & Devices R&D Project Management at CSL Behring since September 2012. In this role, Melissa manages process improvement and technical transfer projects related to plasma products Privigen and Hizentra. Prior experience includes key positions at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, where responsibilities included overseeing investigational drug releases and maintaining quality systems, and earlier roles at CSL and Biogen, focusing on bioprocessing, validation, and regulatory compliance. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from La Trobe University, specializing in Microbiology and Biochemistry.
