Allan Cuenca has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Allan began their career as an Instructor at Xavier University in 1990. Allan then worked as the Managing Director at MCR from 1994 to 1996. From 2000 to 2002, Allan served as the Professional Services and Support Manager at North 22 Industrial Solutions Ltd. Allan then joined BakeMark Canada, a CSM Company, as the IT Support Manager from 2002 to 2006. Allan then moved to BakeMark USA, where they held various positions including IT Manager, Manager of Applications, and Director of IT from 2006 to 2017. In their roles at BakeMark USA, Allan was responsible for implementing significant changes, such as launching a B2B eCommerce solution and migrating the ERP system to a cloud-based deployment. In 2012, they became the Director of IT at BakeMark, where they continued to drive digital innovation and engage the organization's leaders and SME's for digital transformation.

Allan Cuenca completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Ateneo de Manila University from 1986 to 1990. In 2015, they participated in an integrated course on Big Data and Analytics called "Behind and Beyond Big Data" at Worldview Stanford1. Allan attended Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan for high school from 1982 to 1986. Allan also obtained various certifications such as "Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms" from the University of Washington and multiple data-related certifications from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Allan has a certification in Data Science from The Johns Hopkins University and has obtained certifications in subjects such as Machine Learning, Statistical Inference, and R Programming.
