Jessy McGowan, MS, CLP, is a seasoned professional in technology licensing and agricultural research with significant experience in managing intellectual property and executing licensing agreements. Currently serving as Licensing Manager at CSU STRATA since February 2022, Jessy previously held the position of Senior Technology Licensing Associate at Washington State University, overseeing the agricultural and plant variety IP portfolio and facilitating partnerships between academic researchers and industry. Jessy also has extensive experience with the USDA Agricultural Research Service and has held various research positions at organizations such as Heartland Plant Innovations and DuPont Pioneer. With a Master of Science in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Kansas State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Soil and Crop Science from Colorado State University, Jessy combines academic expertise with practical skills in plant science and research management.
