Jim Poss

Jim Poss currently serves as the Director of Venture Creation at CSU STRATA, focusing on launching startups from leading technologies at Colorado State University. Prior to this role, Jim co-founded Modifi, Inc., providing innovative logistics software and hardware solutions, and Insurate, Inc., an insurance technology company that enhances client costs through data science. Additionally, Jim founded BigBelly Solar, a pioneering enterprise in waste management recognized globally for its contributions to the environment and IoT innovation. Jim holds a BA in Environmental Science and Policy and Geology from Duke University, as well as an MBA in Business and Entrepreneurship from Babson College, and has also served as a graduate and adjunct professor.
