Jacob Thompson, CISSP, has extensive experience in information security and assurance management, currently serving as Senior Information Assurance Manager at CSX since February 2018 and as IT Security Manager at CSX Technology since November 2013. In these roles, Jacob oversees enterprise security operations and manages Security Analysts' tools to mitigate risks on the network. Prior experience includes serving as Information Assurance Officer for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), advising on security vulnerabilities and compliance with federal standards, and a tenure as Information Management Officer with the US Navy, focusing on the security of information systems. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration in IT Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Columbia College.
