John Akin

John Akin possesses extensive experience in terminal and intermodal operations, with a career spanning over three decades. At CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc., from November 2019 to April 2024, John held several key roles, including Senior Director of Terminal Operations for both the Southeast and Midwest Regions, as well as Director of Terminal Operations for the Midwest Region. Prior to this, John served as General Manager at Centera Transport Inc. from October 2016 to August 2018, where responsibilities included operations management, customer relations, cost control, and strategic planning. John's earlier career at Canadian Pacific Railway, from January 1997 to September 2016, involved significant roles in intermodal operations, including Director of Intermodal Operations (US East) and Manager of Terminal Operations. John's career began at Terminal Services, where John worked from January 1989 to January 1997, ultimately reaching the position of Senior Operations Manager and Terminal Manager.
