Alireza Pokaan

Alireza Pokaan, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alireza started their career as a Research Analyst at Thomson-Reuters Philippines from 2006 to 2008, where they conducted value enhancement from sell-side and buy-side investment research. Alireza then moved on to Far Eastern University as a Finance-Economics Instructor from 2008 to 2010, where they taught courses in finance and economics.

In 2010, Pokaan joined Philippine Bank of Communications (PBCOM) as a Treasury Risk Control Officer, providing risk oversight and reporting of actual risks against established limits. Alireza later became the SAVP - Market Risk & Capital Oversight Head at PBCOM from 2012 to 2018, where they led the bank's ICAAP, Capital Allocation, and Risk-Adjusted Performance Monitoring.

Currently, Pokaan serves as the VP - Market Risk Department Head at CTBC Bank Philippines since 2018, where they are responsible for managing market risk within the bank.

Alireza Pokaan, CFA has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce majoring in Economics, which they obtained with honors from Far Eastern University in 2005. Alireza is also a CFA Charterholder, certified by the CFA Institute.
