Shawn Rasmussen

Shawn Rasmussen's work experience begins in 1999 as a Technology Coordinator for South St. Paul Public Schools. Shawn then served as the Director of Technology for Minnesota Business Academy from 2001 to 2006. In 2006, they established their own company, Rasmussen IT, where they worked as the Owner until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Shawn worked as a Sr. System Engineer for Syvantis Technologies, LLC. Shawn then joined Consolidated Telecommunications Company (CTC) in 2012, starting as a Network Administrator and later advancing to Lead Network Analyst. As of April 2022, Shawn holds the position of Network and Project Manager at CTC, overseeing the Network Team and leading the cybersecurity program.

Shawn Rasmussen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Shawn also acquired several certifications throughout their career, including the following:

- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Server Administrator on Windows Server 2008, obtained in April 2011 from Microsoft.

- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration, obtained in April 2011 from Microsoft.

- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuration, obtained in February 2011 from Microsoft.

- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Configuration, obtained in May 2007 from Microsoft.

- Calix System Specialist, obtained in October 2015 from Calix.

- E7 Copper Access Specialist, obtained in October 2015 from Calix.

- Ethernet Access Network Specialist, obtained in October 2015 from Calix.

- E7 GPON Specialist, obtained in April 2015 from Calix.

- CCNA: Routing and Switching, obtained in September 2013 from Cisco.
