Steve Grewal

Steve Grewal has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Steve is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at CTG Federal since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President & CTO, Public Sector at Cohesity from February 2018 to February 2022.

Steve also has extensive experience as an Advisory Board Member for various companies. Steve served on the Advisory Board of Cohesity from February 2018 to present, Exabeam from July 2018 to present, Forbes Technology Council from February 2019 to present, SlashNext from July 2021 to present, and Corelight, Inc from February 2019 to April 2020.

Before joining the private sector, Steve held several senior roles in the US government. Steve worked as the Deputy Chief Information Officer and Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SES) at GSA from March 2016 to February 2018. Prior to that, they served in various leadership positions at the US Department of Education, including Chief Information Officer (SES), Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officer (SES), Chief Information Security Officer (SES), and Deputy Director, IT Services (GS-15).

Steve also has experience working in other government agencies such as the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) where they served as the Director of Operations Support (GS-15) from September 2009 to September 2010, and the US Department of Transportation where they held roles as an Information Systems Security Officer (GS-14) and Infrastructure & Cyber Lead (Contractor) from April 2002 to September 2009.

Steve Grewal obtained a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Computer Science from Harvard University. Steve also holds a certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², which they obtained in January 2014.
