Amanda Adey

Amanda Adey has a strong background in user experience (UX) design and leadership. Amanda is currently working as a UX Lead at cti digital, where they lead and mentors a team to achieve company objectives and successful project delivery. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior UX Designer at cti digital, where they collaborated with project teams to understand requirements and conducted research activities to gain insights into user needs.

Before joining cti digital, Amanda worked as a UX Designer and Researcher at Booking.com, where they focused on improving the customer journey and self-serve experience through data analysis and research. Amanda also worked at Smoothwall as a UX/UI Specialist, transforming complex tasks into user-friendly designs, and at StepChange Debt Charity as a User Experience Designer and Developer, redesigning their debt advice system.

Earlier in their career, Amanda worked at Virtual College Ltd. as a Multimedia Design Manager, responsible for brand development and managing design projects. Amanda also gained experience as a Marketing Officer at Kimberley Caravans, a Project Co-ordinator at Sharman Shaw Exhibitions, a Temporary Marketing Officer/Artworker at York Theatre Royal, and a Learning Assistant at York Museums Trust.

Amanda Adey attended the University of Leeds from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Design Practice, specializing in Graphic, Product, and Furniture Design. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2006, they studied at Cleveland College of Art and Design, earning a National BTEC Diploma in 3D Design. In addition to their formal education, Amanda has obtained certifications, including a Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2021 and UX Foundation Training from UXTraining in 2017.
