Francois Laurens

Francois Laurens serves as the President of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) since August 2022 and is the Coordinator of the EU-H2020 INVITE project from 2019 to 2024. In addition, Laurens holds the position of President of the Scientific Committee of CTIFL since 2018 and serves as the Chair of GISFruits, which represents the entire French fruit chain since 2015. As a Scientist at INRAE since 1992, Laurens leads the IRHS VaDiPom team, specializing in the Valorization of the Diversity in Pipfruit. Previously, from 2011 to 2015, Laurens coordinated the EU-FP7 FruitBreedomics project, focusing on pipfruit breeding.
