Daniel Catron

Daniel Catron has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel is currently the Head of Corporate Development at CTMC, a joint venture between Resilience and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to this, they served as the President of the San Diego Innovation Council, where they facilitated the growth of the innovation ecosystem in San Diego and Southern California. Daniel also worked as the Executive Director of the Office of Technology Transfer at Scintillon Institute and Allele Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals Inc.

In addition, Daniel has teaching experience as a Lecturer at The Scripps Research Institute and the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where they designed and taught courses on the business of biotechnology and management skills for academia and enterprises.

Before their academic and entrepreneurial ventures, Daniel worked as a Sr. Licensing Associate at the University of Miami, where they generated the highest level of licensing revenue in the university's history. Daniel Catron has an extensive education history spanning several institutions and fields of study. Daniel began their education at Santa Clara University where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of California, Santa Cruz, earning a Certification in Bioinformatics from 1999 to 2001.

In 2001, Catron enrolled at Duke University, where they obtained a Certificate in Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2001 to 2003. Continuing their studies at Duke, they completed a Master of Science degree in Genetics and Genomics from 2001 to 2008. This period showcases their specialization in the field.

Catron later chose to broaden their knowledge and enrolled in the Association of Clinical Research Professionals from 2011 to 2013. During this time, they earned a CCRC (Clinical Research Coordination) degree, further enhancing their skill set.
