Karol Michaliak

Karol Michaliak has extensive work experience in the IT field. Karol currently holds the position of Group Director of IT at CTP, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Cyber Security Manager at ČSOB Finančná skupina from May 2023 to June 2023.

From 2018 to 2023, Karol worked at HB Reavis as a Group CIO. In this role, they were responsible for creating the group's IT strategy, overseeing IT systems and security, managing team members, and delivering innovative services. Karol also managed contracts and vendor relationships and implemented information security and cyber security programs.

Before joining HB Reavis, Karol held various positions at STENGL A.S., CGI, Microsoft, and NESS Slovensko. Their roles included Senior Lead IT Consulting Department, Director Consulting Services, Solution Sales Manager / STU lead, Delivery Director, Sales Director Enterprise Business, Division Director Utilities and Enterprise Business, Division Director IT solutions and support, Key Account Manager, and IT Manager.

Karol Michaliak earned a Master's Degree in Microelectronic from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave, attending from 1989 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, Karol obtained several certifications, including "Introductory Psychology" from edX and "Vital Signs: Understanding What the Body Is Telling Us" from Coursera in May 2015. Karol also received certifications in "Behavioural Economics in Action", "The Science of Happiness", "Creative Problem Solving", "Leading Strategic Innovation in Organizations", "Inspiring Leadership through Emotional Intelligence", "A Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior", and "Nanotechnology: The Basics" from various institutions and platforms in 2014.
