Ashwani Koul

Ashwani Koul has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ashwani is currently the Senior Vice President and Head Alliances at CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, where they started in 2023. Prior to this, they held several positions at CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, including Head of Alliances, Country Head - Strategic Business, VP & National Head Enterprise Business, and Regional Manager North & Head Noida Data Center Operations. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as the Regional Manager in North and East at CtrlS Datacenters Ltd.

Before joining CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, Ashwani worked at Koras, where they served as the Director from 2014 to 2016. Ashwani provided IT consulting to SMB clients in India and IT services to healthcare clients in the US, and successfully turned around a loss-making company into a profitable venture.

Prior to Koras, Ashwani worked at IBM from 2006 to 2014. Ashwani held various roles at IBM, including Head of STG (Server, Storage & System SW) - Consultant & Cloud Providers' Business, Head of eGovernance Business Development - Technology Services, Leader of Smart Business initiative, and Team lead for STG - ISV team. Ashwani was responsible for setting up and growing Cloud Services Providers' business, developing partnerships with consultants and ISV partners, and developing integrated smart business solutions with ISV applications.

Ashwani's earlier experiences include working as the Director & CEO at Great Fortune Infotech from 2000 to 2006, where they focused on business development, sales, and delivery of BPO and software development services to US clients in the healthcare industry. Ashwani also worked at Systems America India Pvt. Ltd. as an SAP SD Consultant from 1998 to 2000.

Before entering the IT industry, Ashwani worked at Kirloskar Electric Co. Ltd. as the Regional Manager North from 1988 to 1998. Ashwani was responsible for sales and support functions for the Power, DC Motor, Industrial Automation & Controls business of Kirloskar Electric, as well as managing the administration.

Ashwani Koul completed their education in a chronological manner. Ashwani first attended DAV School Jawahar Nagar in Srinagar, Kashmir from 1970 to 1984, where they completed their Higher Secondary education with a focus on Science. Following this, they enrolled at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication from 1984 to 1988. Finally, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies.
