Andrew Fazekas is an accomplished columnist and author with extensive experience in science communication, particularly in the fields of astronomy and space. Since December 2008, Andrew has been a columnist at National Geographic Society, writing weekly about sky-watching events and breaking news. Additionally, Andrew contributes to CBC as a Radio Science Columnist and has been a Communications Manager at Astronomers Without Borders since 2014. With a background that includes roles at CTV News, Canadian Space Agency, and The Montreal Gazette, Andrew's expertise encompasses research, writing, and media engagement across various platforms. Andrew co-founded the National Geographic Night Sky Odyssey, the world’s first open-air augmented reality planetarium experience, and has also written for Yahoo and The Weather Network. Andrew holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology from McGill University.
