Jeff Pickel

Jeff Pickel is an experienced video journalist currently employed at CTV News since January 2019. Prior to this role, Jeff served as a morning reporter at Rogers Communications and hosted the "Talk Local" show on Rogers TV Waterloo Region, where responsibilities included pitching story ideas, conducting interviews, and producing content. Jeff's background also includes experience as an associate producer at CBC/Radio-Canada, where tasks involved generating story ideas and writing scripts. Additional roles as a broadcast journalist at SpokeTV and a news reporter at 88.3 CJIQ Radio highlight Jeff's diverse skill set in news gathering and production. Academically, Jeff holds a Bachelor's Degree in Honours Political Science and History from Wilfrid Laurier University and attended Conestoga College.
