John J. Chew

John J. Chew is an experienced editor and executive with a significant background in managing SCRABBLE-related organizations and projects. Currently serving as the Editor for the Canadian English Dictionary since June 2022, John leads a team to create the first Canadian English Dictionary in two decades. As the Chief Executive Officer of the North American Scrabble Players Association since 2009, John oversees the management of the association and has played a crucial role in its organizational structure. John's expertise also extends to software development, with contract roles at Vericom Systems and CTV News, where John develops data management systems and election graphics. Additionally, John is the founding president of Poslfit, Inc., and has held various positions in Scrabble-related organizations, including directorships and consultancy roles, while holding a PhD from the University of Toronto.
