John Babb

John Babb has extensive experience in the field of data science and analytics. John has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as the Director of Data Science at Co-op Solutions. Previously, they worked as a Principal Data Scientist at ClosedLoop, where they built classification models and automated QA scripts. Prior to that, they were a Data Science Manager at Koneksa, responsible for designing and delivering a data engineering and analytics platform for clinical trial data. John also served as a Data Science Manager at Amgen, where they worked on end-user facing analytics products. Additionally, John has experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Capital One, a Senior Data Scientist at Protenus, and a Senior Associate/Machine Learning Engineer at Kore Federal/Eagle Ray Inc. John started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Riverside, and later worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at California Baptist University.

John Babb earned a Ph.D. in High Energy Physics from the University of California, Riverside, from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in Physics from the same institution from 2005 to 2007. John completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Physics from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, John also holds a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) obtained in February 2018 from Amazon.
