Felix Contreras

Felix Contreras has extensive work experience in database administration, primarily focused on SQL databases. Felix started their career at Crown Bolt in 1994 as a SQL Database Administrator, where they managed and migrated databases. From 2000 to 2007, they worked at Nexa Technologies, serving as a Production SQL Database Administrator, Architect, and Developer II. During this time, they were responsible for database architecture, software design, and creating various database components. Felix then transitioned to the role of Production SQL Database Administrator IV at Nexa Technologies from 2007 to 2017, where they built and maintained a SQL production environment for large financial institutions and global brokerage firms. Currently, since 2017, Felix is working at CU Direct as a Senior Database Administrator, responsible for SQL database administration tasks, performance analysis, and production support for multiple environments.

Felix Contreras holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Guadalajara, Guadalajara Jalisco. Felix also has a Certificate in Oracle 10g Database administration from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education and a Certificate in SQL Database Administration from UCLA. In addition, Felix has obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in January 2022.
