Lawrence Hobson

Lawrence Hobson has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Lawrence started working at Crossfit PBM in 2015 as a Crossfit Instructor and continued in that role until October 2019. In 2014, they joined Transnet SOC Ltd as an Engineer In Training, where they were responsible for overseeing the rapid prototyping section. Lawrence also played a key role in planning and installing a large-scale production additive manufacturing machine. In 2016, they were promoted to Engineer at Transnet SOC Ltd and managed the rapid prototyping section within the R&D department. Lawrence developed and designed the cabin of a specialist truck, focusing on high load ratings.

In 2020, Lawrence joined CubeSpace ADCS as a Mechanical Aerospace Engineer. Lawrence initially served as a Mechanical Aerospace Engineer and later advanced to the position of Senior Mechanical Aerospace Engineer in June 2021.

Lawrence Hobson completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town between 2010 and 2013. Lawrence also attended Hudson Park, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Lawrence has obtained several certifications, including Crossfit Mobility Trainer and Crossfit CF-L1 from CrossFit, Inc. in 2014. Lawrence also received the Lifeguard award from Lifesaving SA in October 2013 and CF-L2 from CrossFit, Inc. in June 2018.
