Rob Newsom

Rob Newsom has had an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Rob started their career as a Software Developer at Clarion Software in 1989 and worked there until 1992. Rob then joined CYMA Systems as a Software Developer and worked on developing object-oriented accounting software for Microsoft Windows. In 1994, they worked at I/NET, Inc as a Systems Engineer, where they designed and developed a multimedia educational product utilizing CD-ROM technologies.

Rob then joined StockVal Inc in 1995 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for porting a DOS-based financial securities analysis application to Windows. Rob also worked on graphical display of statistical stock data using various analytical methods.

In 1996, Rob joined Oce Reprographics Technologies as a Software Development Team Lead, where they managed a budget of $5 million and a team of 30 members. Rob oversaw the development of applications for Windows, server, and web-based product lines.

From 1999 to 2002, Rob held the position of Research and Development Manager at Oce Reprographic Technologies, where they made technology decisions and provided milestone reporting.

In 2008, Rob became the Managing Director at Oce Reprographic Technologies, where they provided vision and leadership for a 51-member domestic team and a 25-member offshore team in Romania and Hungary. Rob also served as the U.S. Software Development Manager and Technical Manager for R&D.

Rob then worked at Apollo Group as the Principal Solutions Architect and later as the IT Director in Software Development. Rob managed software development teams and staff, developed User Interface Platform, Asset Library, and Content Management System for multi-tenant reuse. Rob also utilized agile SCRUM methodology and Service Oriented Architecture.

In 2012, Rob joined GlobalMed Telemedicine as a Senior Project Manager. Rob then took on the role of Senior Software Design Manager and later became the Director of Software Development.

Currently, Rob is working at Cubex LLC, where they hold the positions of Vice President Product Development and Vice President Software Engineering.

Rob Newsom has studied Computer Science at Nova University and has also attended Rollins College. Rob holds a certification as a Certified SCRUM Master from Scrum Alliance.
