Christelle Roux

Principal Scientist at Cubrc, Inc.

Christelle Roux has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research. Christelle started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University, where they conducted research on host response to infection with Brucella and developed a mouse model of Plasmodium and Salmonella co-infection. Christelle then moved to UC Davis, where they continued their research on host response to infection and examined Brucella virulence factors. At the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Christelle worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Dunman, studying Staphylococcus aureus transcriptional response. Christelle then joined the University of Rochester as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the same laboratory, focusing on identifying protein components of S. aureus degradosome. After their postdoctoral positions, they worked as a Research Scientist at Panacela Labs, Inc., investigating the mechanism of action of anti-infective compounds on Candida albicans. Christelle then joined Everon Biosciences, Inc. as a Research Scientist, where they developed bioanalytical methods and investigated targets of senescent cells. Christelle currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at CUBRC, where they have been involved in various scientific roles, including Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist. Their responsibilities at CUBRC include reviewing customers' solicitations, developing test plans, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and writing technical reports. Christelle has also been involved in developing assays to evaluate therapeutic candidates, devices, and liquid disinfectants against respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV-2. Throughout their career, Christelle has demonstrated strong technical skills, project management abilities, and a focus on advancing scientific knowledge in the field of biomedical research.

Christelle Roux earned their PhD in Microbiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Christelle pursued their doctoral degree from 1998 to 2003.
