Associate Scientist at Cue Biopharma

Fatima Usmani has had a varied and successful career in science and research. Fatima began their professional career in 2014 as an Analytical Chemist at Adamson Analytical Laboratories. In 2016, they were a Student Researcher at Scripps Research, a Pathmaker Internship at Palomar Medical Center, and a Co Founding Member of No Lost Generation UCSD. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Undergraduate and Graduate Student Researcher at Das Lab- UCSD School of Medicine, where they conducted research on the relationship between pattern recognition receptors ELMO1 and NOD2 in the engulfment and clearance of pathogenic bacteria to identify the implications it may have in Crohn’s disease pathogenesis. Additionally, they served as one of two Graduate Teaching Assistants to a Research Methods course at UC San Diego. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Cue Biopharma as an Associate Scientist.

Fatima Usmani holds a Master of Science in Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego, which they earned between 2014 and 2018.
