Cathy Jörin

Senior Advisor, Graduate Studies, & Liaison To Japan

Cathy Jörin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the culinary education sector, currently serving as Senior Advisor for the Graduate Studies School at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) since June 2008. In this capacity, Cathy collaborates with the Senior Director and the Graduate Studies team on program growth and quality pedagogy. Cathy also holds the role of Senior Director for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies, overseeing operations including finance, accreditation, and curriculum development, as well as acting as the Director of The Food Business School, which focuses on food entrepreneurship. Previous roles include Principal at Culinary Business Solutions and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at The Perfect Puree of Napa Valley. Cathy holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco, an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts from the California Culinary Academy, and a BA in History of Art from UC Irvine.
