William Howerton

William Howerton has extensive experience in information technology and management, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving in an IT role at Culpeper Wood Preservers since April 2018, William previously held the position of Vice President of Information Technology at Cox Industries Inc from January 2009 to April 2018, where significant achievements included the launch of an innovative e-commerce system that generated $4 million in new sales. Prior to this, William was the Director of Business Intelligence at RJ Reynolds Tobacco, overseeing a large BI team and implementing a SOX compliant data warehouse. Additional experience includes roles at Brown & Williamson Tobacco as Director of Manufacturing Systems, where William developed multiple critical systems, and a consulting position at SEACOR. William holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and Mercer University, respectively.
