Nelson Silva

Nelson Silva has extensive experience in footwear design and product development. Nelson most recently served as the Footwear Design Director at CULT GAIA, starting in October 2017. Prior to that, they worked as the Footwear Design Director at Etienne Aigner from March 2014 to September 2017. Nelson also held the position of Director of Footwear Design and Product Development at alice + olivia from June 2011 to March 2014.

Before their roles in footwear design, Nelson worked as a Women's Footwear Designer at both Nine West Group and The Fashion House, Inc. in 2008 and 2007 respectively. Nelson began their career at Condé Nast as an Associate Bookings Editor, W Magazine from January 2005 to February 2007.

Nelson Silva attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design.
