Cultivate Empathy
Candice Heidebrecht has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Candice is currently the Founder and CEO of Cultivate Empathy, where they focus on diversity and inclusion. Previously, they worked as the Head of the PFP Accelerator Mentorship Program at People First Professionals, helping individuals develop their emotional intelligence skills. Before that, they were a Professional Educator, teaching how empathy can bridge gaps in distance and culture. Candice also has extensive experience in sales enablement, having held positions such as Director of Sales Enablement at ThoughtSpot, Senior Go To Market Enablement Manager at Sumo Logic, and Channel Enablement and Communications at Blue Coat Systems. Candice has also worked as a Senior Marketing Manager at Abiquo and as a Graphic Designer and Publications Designer in a self-employed capacity. Earlier in their career, Candice served as the Projects Manager at the Committee for the Restoration of the Mission San Jose and worked briefly as an Ethnographer at SmartRevenue.
Candice Heidebrecht holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Candice further pursued their education at San Jose State University, where they earned a Master of Arts Applied in Anthropology from 2007 to 2010. In addition, they have obtained a certification as an Emotional Intelligence Life Coach from the Transformation Academy in 2022.
