Emiline is a biologist specializing in quantifying, restoring, and monitoring biodiversity. Growing up in the politically centered city of Washington, DC, she has become increasingly interested in how policy shapes and reflects value systems related to nature.
After graduating from Smith College with a degree in Biology and a minor in Marine Science and Policy, she has worked for several non-profit organizations leading a variety of restoration efforts in marine, wetland, and terrestrial ecosystems.
Emiline is a strong believer that ecosystem restoration is inextricably linked to human well-being, and by repairing the planet, people can also combat social and economic inequalities.
