Bioprocess Engineer III / Operations Manager at Culture Biosciences

Thomas Joseph has 10 years of work experience. Thomas began their career as a Resident Assistant at Stanford University in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Facilities Engineering Intern at Intel Corporation and a Research Assistant at both the Stanford University Civil & Environmental Engineering Department and the Stanford University Chemical Engineering Department. Thomas also served as an ACE Course Assistant for CME 100, 102, and 104 at Stanford University. In 2014, they were an Intern at the City of Palo Alto and a Research Assistant at Stanford University. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at REG Life Sciences, LLC as an Associate Process Engineer II, where they screened E. coli strains in 5L bioreactors, developed processes and scaled them to production level, improved and updated data entry in Excel using Visual Basic, was responsible for mechanical maintenance of Sartorius tanks and towers, programmed MFCS control software to improve process performance and data quality, and presented quarterly data analysis updates to the project team. Most recently, they have been a Fermentation Engineer at Culture Biosciences since 2019.

Thomas Joseph completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University in 2013, followed by a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2015.
