Tony Buffum

Tony Buffum is the founder of NextGen People Solutions, LLC, where strategic consulting and thought leadership at the intersection of technology and talent are provided. Currently serving as a strategic advisor for multiple organizations including ChangeEngine, Culture OS, and Hatchproof, Tony focuses on enhancing the role of people leaders, developing advanced technology solutions, and utilizing AI to improve talent alignment. Additionally, as Chairperson of the PEI Operating Partners Human Capital Forum, Tony leads significant private equity human capital events. Formerly, Tony held the position of Vice President of HR Client Strategy at Upwork, where talent integration strategies were developed, and served as Chief Human Resources Officer at FLIR Systems, reporting directly to the executive leadership. Tony holds a degree in Industrial & Labor Relations with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Cornell University.
