Yunhao Zhao

Yunhao (Nathan) Zhao, Ph.D., is a metallurgical engineer and technical specialist at Cummins Inc. since September 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a graduate research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh from August 2017 to August 2021, where research focused on designing new materials and post-heat treatment strategies for additively manufactured alloys, including Ni-based superalloys, high entropy alloys, and high-strength steels, utilizing Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) and advanced materials characterization. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science from the University of Pittsburgh (August 2017), a Master's degree in Materials Science from the same institution (April 2017), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science from Central South University (June 2015).
