Shanti Betts

Shanti Betts has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Shanti began their career as an Assistant to a General Building Contractor and Design Specialist at Willy Keefe & Co., where they collaborated with a team on custom landscape and home remodeling projects. Shanti then worked as an Engineer Intern at Vandal Stop Engineering and as a CAD Drafter at Ananda Church of Self Realization, Inc, where they provided expertise in surveying, data collection, and mapping.

After that, Betts joined Aronson Security Group (ASG) as a Security Designer, where they designed and drafted security plans for high-value installation projects. Shanti also worked as a Consulting Engineer at ASG, leading a team in delivering design projects for their top client, Microsoft. Shanti traveled across the US to represent ASG at project kickoff and milestone meetings.

Betts later worked at the University of Washington as a Floor Plan Drafter, contributing to the development of floor plans. Shanti then joined General Assembly as a Software Engineer Fellow, where they created responsive websites and innovative web applications using technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js.

Currently, Betts is a Solution Engineer at Cumul.io, a position they started in 2022.

Shanti Betts began their education journey in 2005, attending California State University, Chico. Shanti completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2008. In 2022, they enrolled in General Assembly, where they pursued a Software Engineering Immersive program, focusing on Computer Software Engineering.
