Robert Thirsk

Guest Lecturer - Insights Programme

Robert Thirsk is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in operational, technical, scientific, and executive management roles. Currently serving as an Advisor for Exploration, Innovation, and Education since February 2014, Robert also engages as a Professional Speaker at the University of Calgary and holds the title of Chancellor Emeritus with the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine. As an adjunct faculty member at the International Space University and a guest lecturer for the Cunard Insights Programme, Robert shares expertise in human aeronautics and space flight. Previously, Robert has chaired advisory councils and expert groups for the Canadian Space Agency, as well as holding significant roles at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and NASA. Robert's educational background includes degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Medicine from esteemed institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and McGill University, along with an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
