Jacqueline Bichsel has extensive work experience in various research and leadership roles. From 2015 to present, they have been the Director of Research at CUPA-HR, where they oversee the delivery of research and analytical services, directs the vision for workforce surveys, and manages a team of research professionals. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2015, Jacqueline worked as a Senior Research Analyst at EDUCAUSE, leading research projects on technology use in higher education and managing project teams. Jacqueline also has experience as an Assistant Professor of Psychological Science at Missouri S&T from 2008 to 2011, where they taught courses, designed and conducted research studies, and published scientific results.
Jacqueline Bichsel holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from The University of Alabama. Prior to earning their Ph.D., they obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Quincy University. Following their doctoral studies, Jacqueline pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California, where they specialized in the Multivariate Neurocognitive Developmental Program.

CUPA-HR is higher ed HR. We serve higher education by providing the knowledge, resources, advocacy and connections to achieve organizational and workforce excellence. As the association for HR professionals in higher education, CUPA-HR provides leadership on higher education workplace issues in the U.S. and abroad. We monitor trends, explore emerging workforce issues, conduct research and promote strategic discussions among colleges and universities. We provide opportunities for our members to connect with one another and to develop professionally by hosting conferences and webinars, publishing tools and resources, and offering online communities for collaboration.
