Sam Fuqua

Sam Fuqua has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sam'smost recent position was as Chief of Stuff at Curacity, where they provided cross-functional management for business operations and managed a team of freelance writers. Before that, they worked as an Associate Manager of Sales, pitching data-driven digital and social media platforms to hotels across North America.

Sam also has experience in the hospitality industry. Sam held multiple roles at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, including President of the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration Ambassadors and Lead Teaching Assistant. Sam also worked as a server at The Statler Hotel and held guest service positions at Chatham Bars Inn and InterContinental Hotels Group.

In addition, Sam has gained experience in teaching and counseling. Sam worked as a teaching assistant at Cornell University and as a cooking instructor at Camp Lindenmere. Sam also completed an internship at Holiday Inn, where they gained knowledge in various hotel departments.

Throughout their work experience, Sam has demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt to different environments and responsibilities.

Sam Fuqua completed their high school education at Horace Greeley High School from 2014 to 2018. Sam then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including NY State TIPS Alcohol Certification from TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) in February 2021, ServSafe Food Handler certification from ServSafe in February 2021, and Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute in July 2017.
