Anitha Kannan

Anitha Kannan is a prominent expert in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Head of AI and a founding team member at Curai since July 2017. Anitha's career includes significant roles at Facebook AI Research as a Research Scientist from 2015 to 2017, and as the General Chair for the ACM Symposium on Computing for Development in 2014. Previous experience includes positions as a Senior Researcher and Associate Researcher at Microsoft Research from 2006 to 2014, as well as a Research Intern at Microsoft Research from 2001 to 2003. Anitha Kannan holds a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Mathematics in Computer Science, also centered on Machine Learning, from the University of Waterloo.
