Bob Kain

Bob Kain serves as a Strategic Advisor for both Kaptain Outside App and Single Technologies since 2023. As the Chairman of the Board and Founder of Mesa Rim Climbing Centers, established in 2010, Kain oversees multiple climbing facilities in California, Nevada, and Texas. Previously, Kain was the Founder and Executive Chairman of LunaPBC, guiding the company from its inception in 2017 until early 2024, focusing on community-driven health and DNA data solutions. Kain's extensive experience includes a tenure as Chief Engineering Officer at Illumina from 1999 to 2014, where leadership contributed to remarkable company growth. Prior roles included Director of Engineering and Microarray Engineering at Molecular Dynamics from 1989 to 1999. Kain holds an MBA from Saint Mary's College of California and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from San Diego State University.
