Achim Loehr

Achim Loehr has extensive experience in the field of business development and licensing within the pharmaceutical industry. Achim began their career in 1999 at AbbVie, where they worked in business development until 2001. Loehr then moved to MediGene AG, where they held a similar role in business development from 2001 to 2005. Achim then joined Bayer HealthCare for a year as a business development professional. In 2006, Loehr joined Merck KGaA, where they played a key role in scientific evaluation, due diligence, and negotiations for in-licensing projects in the oncology field. Achim stayed with Merck KGaA until 2012, when they moved to AstraZeneca as the External Projects Director in Oncology. Since 2014, they have been working as the Vice President of Business Development and Licensing at CureVac AG.

Achim Loehr earned their PhD in Molecular Biology from the German Cancer Research Center, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Biology from Technische Universität Darmstadt, where they attended from 1987 to 1993.
