Anina Buchmann

Anina Buchmann, Dr. holds extensive experience in microbiology, currently serving as Manager QC Microbiology at CureVac since May 2021. Key achievements include the successful implementation of in-house bioburden testing, coordination of microbial method validations, and leadership in establishing new microbiology laboratories. Anina has previously held roles as Interim Manager Microbiology and Quality Engineer Microbiology, focusing on technical leadership, process improvement, and staff training. Prior academic roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at Universität Stuttgart and Scientific Assistant & Doctoral Researcher at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, involving microbial strain development and supervision of students. Anina earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Biology from the University of Tübingen, a Master's in Enzyme-Biotechnology from the University of Hohenheim, and a Bachelor's in Food Science and Biotechnology from the same institution.
