Fabio Montrasio

Fabio Montrasio is an experienced professional in the field of molecular therapy and rare diseases, currently serving as Vice President and Area Head at CureVac since February 2023. Prior to this role, Fabio held the position of Vice President for Translational Science & Preclinical Development at Sutura Therapeutics Ltd from May 2022 to February 2023. Fabio's extensive career at Neurimmune AG spanned from April 2008 to May 2022, where positions included Principal Scientist and Head of ALS, AD, PD Gene Therapy, as well as Senior Scientist roles. Previous experience also includes serving as Head of the Prion Research Group at Paul-Ehrlich-Institut from January 2002 to April 2008 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Neuropathology – University Hospital Zurich from 1999 to 2001. Fabio holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and a Diploma in Molecular Biology, both obtained from the University of Zurich.
