Tadej Čepeljnik

Tadej Čepeljnik has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Tadej currently holds the position of Senior Director of Quality Control at CureVac since March 2022. Prior to joining CureVac, Tadej worked at Novartis from 2018 to 2022, where they served as the Head of QC Biopharmaceuticals. Before that, they worked at Sandoz from 2010 to 2018, taking on various roles including Head of QC Bioanalytics and Head of Process Analytics 3 in Analytical Development for Biopharmaceuticals. Tadej also gained experience at Lek Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist from 2007 to 2010 and at the Biotechnical faculty of the University of Ljubljana as a Teaching Assistant, Researcher, and PhD student from 2000 to 2007. Tadej also had a brief period as a PhD visiting student at The Rowett Research Institute in 2004.

Tadej Čepeljnik holds a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from the University of Ljubljana, which they obtained from 1995 to 2000. Tadej further pursued their education at the same institution, earning a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from 2000 to 2002. Tadej completed their academic journey at the University of Ljubljana with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology from 2002 to 2005.
