Mark Monroy

Mark Monroy has a diverse and extensive work experience in various companies. Mark is currently working as the Director of Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities at Curia (formerly AMRI) since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at BD from September 2020 to December 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Manager of Maintenance Support at Johnson & Johnson, where they managed a diverse team responsible for project execution, continuous improvement, maintenance planning, spare parts inventory management, and SAP administrative support for an oral solid dose facility.

Before that, Mark worked at GSK from 2006 to 2017, holding positions such as Manager of Engineering & Sustainability and Process & Equipment Engineer. As the Manager of Engineering & Sustainability, they managed a team and executed all phases of project planning, estimating, scheduling, implementation, and closeout for a GMP facility. Additionally, they led sustainability-focused projects and created a process safety program. As a Process & Equipment Engineer, they provided support to the aseptic manufacturing area, managed CAPEX and OPEX projects, and supervised technical staff supporting equipment and facility maintenance.

From 2002 to 2006, Mark Monroy worked at Merck in roles such as Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. In these positions, they supported aseptic manufacturing production, performed equipment operation and maintenance, executed change controls, and participated in process hazard reviews.

Mark started their career at Foster Wheeler, where they held positions such as Manager of Process Support & Research and Senior Process Engineer. In these roles, they managed pilot plants and laboratories, prepared project proposals and budgets, supervised operations and maintenance, and conducted process design calculations, economic studies, and equipment specifications.

Overall, Mark Monroy has demonstrated experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, project management, continuous improvement, and sustainability in the pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries.

Mark Monroy attended SPFHS for an unspecified period of time. Following their time at SPFHS, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology.
