Ben Smulders

Ben Smulders is currently serving as a Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union since October 2024. Prior to this role, Ben held various key positions at the European Commission from 2008 to November 2024, including Deputy Director General of DG Competition, Principal Legal Advisor, Head of Cabinet for First Vice President Frans Timmermans, and Directeur - Conseiller juridique principal. Ben's academic background includes degrees from Leiden University, London Business School, and The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
