Daniel Dittert is currently the Head of Unit at the Court of Justice of the European Union, a position held since 2018. They previously served as a Case Handler in DG Competition (Merger Task Force) at the European Commission from 2000 to 2003. Daniel completed their Law Degree at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München from 1992 to 1998, followed by a Licence en droit at Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II) in 1994-1995. They also earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München between 1998 and 2000 and were a Rechtsreferendar in the State of Bavaria from 1998 to 2000.
