Joe Douglas has a diverse work experience in packaging engineering and facilities engineering. Joe started their career at Johnson Controls as a Facilities Engineer and Automated Shipping Systems Engineer, where they calibrated quality lab equipment, maintained automated manufacturing equipment, and applied Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing systems. Joe then worked at Medtronic as a Packaging Design Technician & Design Drafter, where they conducted packaging testing, managed communications with project managers, and ensured compliance with GMP and FDA quality assurance requirements. Joe also streamlined global labeling configurations and updated package labels for CE mark approval. After that, Joe worked as a Packaging Engineer at St. Jude Medical, Perrigo Company, and CURiO Brands. In these roles, they were responsible for package development, resolving packaging issues, coordinating packaging line trials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Joe Douglas attended Northwood Technical College from 1994 to 1996, where they obtained a Technical degree in Automated Packaging Systems Technician. Joe then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 2009 to 2012.
